La Spiaggia della Lecciona is one of the few beaches that has retained its natural character and is made of sand dunes and natural pine park. It is situated between Torre del Lago and Viareggio. The proximity from Viarregio is perfect for the night events where you can relax further in some of the excellent bars and restaurants.

Marina di Cecina
It is said that Marina di Cecina resort has the cleanest sea in Tuscany. Most beaches in Marina di Cecina is full of chairs. Beaches with free access can be found to the south of this resort. There you can park your car on the road and walk through the pine forest to the sea.

Buca delle fate
If you’re looking for calm, clear waters and sandy beaches you could try Buca delle fate. The rocky cove can be found south of Populonia. You can park your car at the road leading from Populonia (zoom the map at the bottom for exact location of the car park) and walk through the forest to the sea.
Although this path is more demanding than paths to other beaches, it is worth as you will be rewarded with calm, clear sea and unique views of the nearby island of Elba.

Cala Violina
Cala Violina is considered the most beautiful beach in the Gulf of Follonica, it is located about 10 km south of the town of Follonica.
The beach is of fine sand, that contains quartz and when you walk along the beach and it is calm, you can hear the sound of the violin, which is made by walking. The beach is not that large, so in the high season it can be quite full.
