Monreale and one of the most famous monuments of the old Norman Kingdom

On the “sunny island” (how Sicily is often called), not far from Palermo, one can find a small remote town of Monreale, which features one of the most famous monuments of the old Norman Kingdom – Monreale Cathedral.
