The capital of the Marche region is Ancona. Marche is a picturesque and romantic mountainous region. Another attraction of Marche region is the largest cave complex in Europe, called Frasassi. It measures 18 km. Frasassi were created by the river Sentino.
Only about 1 km of caves is accessible, the highest of them is Grotta del Vento measuring 240 metres. One of the most beautiful cities in the Marche region is also a town of San Leo with its impressive fortress.
