Skiing on 175 kilometres of runs in Val Gardena
The Val Gardena is a very popular ski destination which is connected to the Dolomiti Superski area. You will also have access to the Alpe di Siusi ski area. This includes access to the more than 500 kilometres of runs that are included in the Sella Ronda ski area.

Skiing in Val Gardena
There are two popular resorts in the Val Gardena ski area. Thanks to the state of the art snow making capabilities, 120 kilometres of the runs in the area are covered with a fresh layer of powder on a regular basis. Anyone who brings their kids along will find out that the resorts of Santa Cristina and Selva allow children under the age of eight into the ski areas for free.
Selva
Located at an altitude of 1,563 meters above sea level, the popular Val Gardena resort village offers countless kilometers of runs that cover a wide variety of experience levels. You will have full access to the Dolomiti Superski carousel from the resort via the Sella Ronda. Not just for skiers, the resort offers many other activities which includes snowshoeing, ice skating and even sledding. There are countless shops bars and restaurants located throughout the village.

Santa Christina
The resort of Santa Christina is situated 1,428 meters above sea level. From here, you will have access to the many slopes and runs that can be found in Ciampinoi, Monte Pana, Seceda as well as Col Raiser. The Santa Christina resort is a charming locations which offers one many amenities that they would come to expect from some of the finest resorts in Italy.
Ortisei
The Ortisei is one of the liveliest places in the Val Gardena ski area. Located at 1,236 meters above sea level, Ortisei is surrounded by three villages. The village of Bulla is only five kilometres from Ortisei and sits at an altitude of 1,418 meters above sea level. San Giacomo is a quaint mountain village that can be found at 1,433 meters above sea level. Then there is the village of Roncadizza which lies only a kilometer away from Ortisei.
Snowboarding Val Gardena
There are countless opportunities in the Val Gardena area for snowboarders. There are the very popular boarder crosses which can be found at Passo Sella as well as one that is situated at Piz Sella. You will find several half-pipes here. There is even a fun park that is located in Alpe di Siusi near the Euro chair lift.
Cross-Country Skiing Val Gardena
One of the best cross-country skiing areas in Val Gardena can be found at Monte Pana. Here, you can try a cross-country stadium as well as eight kilometres of scenic trails. Located at an altitude of 1,640 meters above sea level, cross-country skiing at Monte Pana is an exhilarating experience. There are also a number of specially designed trails that range from one kilometre all the way up to seven and a half kilometres. There is a total of more than 30 kilometres of perfectly groomed trails that can be found in the area.
For beginners, there is a specially made trail that is five kilometres long which can be found in Pinëi Saddle which is only five kilometres from Ortisei. There is also another sixty kilometres of groomed trails that can be found in Alpe di Siusi.
